Congratulations to Kareem
Kareem Demian has accepted a Systems Administrator position in Desktop Services. Starting August 11, 2008, Kareem will begin the transition from Support Services to Desktop Services. His new responsibilities include managing and troubleshooting client computers, software deployment, and advanced client management. Kareem’s experience and knowledge will be an asset to Desktop Services. Kareem will be located at 1917 Cathedral of Learning and will report to Anthony DiGregorio.

FIS Earns Authorized Service Center Status for Network & Server Support
The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) has now
designated FIS Technical Services as a CompTIA Authorized Service Center™ for Network & Server Support. “Designation as a CompTIA Authorized Service Center is validation that a computer service center has achieved the technology industry’s highest recognized level of competence,” said Richard Rysiewicz, Vice President, Services, CompTIA. “It is a strong sign that the professionals of FIS take pride in their work and are committed to advancing the quality of their operations and service.” The CompTIA Authorized Service Center program recognizes computer, network and server support businesses that employ technicians who have achieved CompTIA professional certifications. These certifications are recognized around the world and throughout the IT industry as the foundation-level skills standards for technology professionals.
New Junior Systems Administrator
Courtney Thomas has joined the Desktop Services team as our new Junior Systems Administrator. Her responsibilities include assisting with troubleshooting client computers, software deployment, and client management. Courtney is currently a senior in Pitt's College of Business Administration, majoring in Finance and Marketing. Courtney will be located at 1917 Cathedral of Learning and will report to Anthony DiGregorio.
