Application Developer (Two available positions)

The Application Developer's role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications in VB.NET and ASP.NET.

The Application Developer will also assist the project manager with the research, design, documentation, and modification of software specifications throughout the production life cycle. Performs with significant autonomy in all phases of system development and maintenance including user consultation and system documentation.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science or related field, or relevant experience in information systems is required. Masters degree preferred. At least three years relevant experience is also required.

Systems Programmer (Two available positions)

 

Participate in all aspects of Oracle E-Business Suite (11i version 11.5.10) development and support including Fast Formula, Workflow, Custom Library, interfaces, reports and forms. Solid understanding of core Human Resource Management System modules (HR, Payroll, OAB and Self-service) is required. In depth knowledge and experience with PL/SQL is assumed. This position will require the individual to work as part of a technical team in implementing and supporting state-of-the-art information systems. This position also requires that the individual work independently and prioritize multiple assignments and tasks that will support and maintain existing projects. Good communication skills (written and verbal) are vital for this position in order to communicate effectively with project team members, management and the University community.

Bachelor's degree in information science, computer science, business, or related field, or relevant experience in information systems is required. Individual must have experience with Oracle forms and reports, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, structured programming techniques, and software documentation, along with a solid understanding of information systems and business processes.  

Experience working with end users to understand their requirements. Must possess at least five years relevant experience, with at least three years of programming experience utilizing database technology. At least two of the three years must be experience in using Oracle's DBMS and the Oracle 11i core HRMS modules (HR, Payroll, OAB, and Self-Service) and related tool sets.
